What is Psychotherapeutic Reiki?

Psychotherapeutic Reiki is an integrative healing approach that combines traditional Reiki energy work with psychological and emotional therapeutic techniques. This modality goes beyond conventional Reiki by addressing not only physical ailments but also mental, emotional, and spiritual imbalances that may contribute to psychological distress.

In Psychotherapeutic Reiki, Soulworks uses the gentle touch while incorporating elements of counselling, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care. The practice recognises that emotional and psychological issues often manifest as energetic blockages in the body's energy system, and seeks to address these through both energetic healing and therapeutic dialogue.

What to expect during a session

Each session begins with a confidential intake form where you identify specific areas of focus for your body and life goals, allowing me to track progress over time. After addressing any questions, you'll lie fully clothed on a treatment table while I guide you through a relaxation visualisation. Through a series of gentle and intuitive questions, you'll be guided to identify and understand core issues, the stories that hold them in place, limiting beliefs, and pathways to healing.

Sessions may trigger emotional releases as energy blockages clear and psychological insights emerge.

 

Soulworks is trained to create a safe, supportive environment and help you process any emotions, memories, or insights that emerge. Following the treatment, you'll have time to discuss questions or sensations you experienced, including behavioural changes that can be applied moving forward.
